Sidney H. Theus
Sidney Theus (Sid) has served as the Chief Executive Officer since the founding of APR in 1991. Mr. Theus was appointed to the Development Authority Board of Gwinnett County for District 1 in July of 2008. He is also a member of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce Chairman’s Club and serves as an Executive Committee Member and the Vice Chair of Membership and Chairman's Club. Currently, he is serving on the 1818 Club Board of Directors. Sid contributes to over 50 charitable organizations locally and nationally. Mr. Theus and his brother Chris also own and operate Theus Properties, LLC, a real estate holding and investment company.
Christopher R. Theus
Christopher Theus (Chris) has served as the Chief Operating Officer since he and his brother Sid Theus founded the company in 1991. Mr. Theus has over twenty years of experience working in the renovations industry. Prior to working with APR, Mr. Theus served as an active member of The United States Army for five years. Mr. Theus and his brother Sid also own and operate Theus Properties, LLC, a real estate holding and investment company.
Rob Samuels, CAS
Rob joined American Painting & Renovations in 2016 as Chief Revenue Officer and was immediately responsible for growing the business development department and modernizing the company. Part of Rob’s business development strategy was immediate growth into markets where APR has had great success. Hiring top level regional sales professionals was his first priority.
Prior to APR, Rob was the Director of Sales & Marketing and Executive Board Member at Multifamily Utility Company. When Rob joined, MUC, the company had 1 office and 5 employees and five years later they had 77 employees, and 3 offices.
Rob has been an active member in multiple local and regional apartment associations as well as the National Apartment Association. He is also an advocate for the Atlanta Apartment Association where he volunteers and teaches new members how to be successful.
Timothy Perkins (Tim) has been employed with APR since August 2004 and has over 20 years of experience working in the Multifamily industry. Mr. Perkins has a general contractor’s license and is also Lead Certified, EPA Certified and Mold Remediation certified. As a Vice President of Sales and Estimating, his primary responsibilities are to communicate with customers about their job needs and provide fair estimates.
Linda Brewer has been an employee for APR since 1997. Ms. Brewer graduated from Mercer University with a degree in Business Administration. As the Office Manager, she is responsible for the accounting services at APR as well as overseeing the day to day administrative operations within the office.
Tara Quinn, CAS
Tara Quinn, a self-described networking junkie, is a veteran to the multifamily industry and prides herself on relationship building. She’s spent over 15 years learning everything there is to know about the apartment industry – from leasing to property management to sales. She is currently applying this knowledge in her role as Vice President of Sales for American Painting & Renovations, Inc.
She is also the founder of A.M.P. (Apartment Management Professionals) and co-founder of an exclusive vendor networking group called Network 17. A.M.P. was formed by the success that she has had over the last 4 years with hosting Manager’s Networking Breakfasts and Happy Hours for multifamily professionals throughout the city and suburbs of Chicago. These events take place at a new property and include a professional speaker and property tour. Tara's main goal is to be a disruptor in the multifamily industry and to teach others how to network effectively.
Brandon Burns is a member of American Painting and Renovations Sales Team. Mr. Burns brings forth a positive attitude and a youthful presence to American Painting. While Mr. Burns is new to the Multi-Family Industry he has already begun to fully immerse himself into the world of the Multi-Family Construction and Renovation. As a member of the APR Sales Team, Mr. Burns aids in Business Development. He aims not only to expand his knowledge and network, but also to help grow American Painting and Renovations by maintaining and expanding existing client relationships, as well as developing long lasting new client relationships.
Peter Howell (PJ) joined APR in October 2011. Mr. Howell is a ‘97 graduate of the University of Georgia with a BS in Biology and brings 13 years of experience to the company. Mr. Howell’s primary role at APR is that of Project Manager. As a project Manager, he conducts the field operations for multiple projects primarily in Georgia.
Jim Sator joined APR in January 2015. He has over 30 years of construction experience in the Multi-Family, Commercial and Residential industry. He attended University of Georgia and has degrees in Criminal Justice and Business Management from USC. As a Senior Project Manager, Jim will oversee multiple project operations, be the liaison to management teams and sub-contractors and have the responsibility for meeting budget goals. Jim has been actively involved in community and military service from Chief of the Holly Springs Fire Department, USMC and the Patriot Guard Riders.
Dave Andreasen started his position as Project Manager with APR in March 2015. In this role, he is responsible for the daily operations surrounding his construction projects, including: a liaison to management teams, directing subcontractors, coordinating renovation projects, prioritizing that customers are satisfied, meeting budget goals and completing jobs on or before designated deadlines. Dave's experience includes 20 years' experience in project management, which includes being a property manager, maintenance manager and renovation specialist in the apartment business and has 8 years' experience in hotel renovations as an on-site project superintendent.
Joe M. Cherry graduated from the University of Tennessee-Martin in 1982 with a degree in Animal Science. In 1993, he left the family cattle business in rural West Tennessee and began an estimating/project managing career that has spanned some 24 years. Having experience with various building trades makes him a valuable asset when the “unforeseen” on every project decides to manifest itself. Joe prides himself in providing APR clients with “old fashion” customer service and quality workmanship that is delivered on time. To Joe a project is not just a project; it is an opportunity to start a long term relationship or improve upon an existing one. Joe and his wife, Tina, live in the Nashville, TN area and have four children ages 33, 29, 27, and 21.
Chad is a project manager with APR that helps clients maximize their asset potential. Originally from Houston he moved to Atlanta with his family 3 years ago from South Florida and has been in the multifamily industry for 20+ years with a specific emphasis on multifamily renovations. Chad started out in the industry working for several apartment management companies and has since worked for GC's as a Construction Manager & Estimator servicing some of the top apartment owners and management companies in the country. When he isn't working he enjoys spending time with his family and at the softball fields with his daughter.
Joshua Theus (Josh) is the Son of Chris Theus and started with APR in October 2011. Mr. Theus is an Assistant Superintendent and is working closely with Senior Project Manager, Jim Davis. He assists on various projects and helps to manage their operations.
